Severe Thunderstorm Warning

The NWS in Jackson has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Oktibbeha County until 6 p.m. This storm is producing gusty winds along the leading edge, some small hail, lightning, and torrential rains. The storm should pass through Starkville within the next 15 minutes and should exit the county by 6:15 p.m.

Hey Justyn, When looking at the GWO transition are you looking at the MJO Phase Diagram? If that is so, it looks like the ensembles are forecasting a weak signal. Will that hamper the tropical convection? Is there a site that you found this material on? Thanks and take care bud!

If you want a 90-day diagram, just replace the 40 with a 90 in the URL.

The GWO phase space has been showing a weak projection lately, which has made it somewhat difficult to use. I'm hoping that it will be more useful as we head into the fall and winter.
