Some Clouds But Warm

Although it was a tad warm, it was a beautiful weekend in the weather department and that's not likely to change today. As much rain as it seems like we've had this year (19.21" at MSU), the current pattern has placed us in a rainfall deficit with each dry day that passes. I'm optimistic we may be able to get some help down the road, especially with the strong MJO currently occurring across the Western Pacific. In the meantime, rain chances will finally increase tomorrow, but we'll be high and dry once again today as we'll remain on the western periphery of an upper level ridge. Skies will be partly cloudy, but highs should be able to top out around 85 this afternoon. Wind gusts could also exceed 20 mph this afternoon. Clouds will be on the increase this evening as the ridge begins to break down. The chance for rain is not zero tonight, but I think any showers will remain to our north and west. The low tomorrow morning will be 62.
